NEW YORK — Stocks finished sharply lower Wednesday as Wall Street sold off on a report showing a large drop in pending home sales and anecdotal data from the Federal Reserve’s regional banks offered little more assurance that an interest rate cut is likely.

Another 7% cut on housing loan interest rate (Sun Star)
IN AN effort to make housing "truly affordable and accessible," Vice President and concurrent Chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) and the Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees, Noli "Kabayan" De Castro, announced that the Pag-IBIG Fund has further reduced the interest rate for housing loans worth above P300,000 up to P750,000 to seven percent.
